Kids that like to play soccer and members of school team want to improve their playing performance. This helps them get chosen more often by the coach to play on matches regularly and contribute more to get a win for their club. Their improved skills will also make them confident more and could help in getting them into the team of their future schools.

Achieving this goal can be done through your kids going to camps where qualified coaches will train them and practice the things they learn from them. Soccer camps Calgary are available that they can attend to so choose one that has a good reputation. And if you have chosen one already, help your child in preparing for it specially when this is their first one.

Get them ready by letting them know the plans on going into the camping area and you could drive them there days before to help them familiarize the surroundings. You can ask the management to have a tour and show them where they would be staying and practicing. Emphasize that nothing important will happen at home that they would miss.

Show your confidence of them thriving and excelling at the camp which helps them to more likely succeed there. They can meet new people, try new things and learn more about themselves there. If they or you feel nervous then talk about these emotions with them and let them understand that you are also excited for them to have new experiences.

Start packing early together to avoid stress and having to forget some things even weeks before their activity starts. Check the list provided by their management on what to bring and fill their bag slowly with them and buy the ones you lack. Avoiding unhealthy emotions is not the only reason for doing this early but also more time is available for you to complete the list.

Advise them to bring something that would help them become comfortable and feel at home even away from your house such as a photo, stuffed animal or pillow. Set goals together on what they plan on achieving during the camp. Ask them their progress on their goals, like their soccer skills or new friends made, every time you call upon them.

Have a plan of communication ready and discuss this with your child so they would be clear about what the expectations are. Many opportunities will be given to you for checking them in without their camp experience being jeopardized. Have short conversations with them through cellphone so they could go back into making new friends.

Making new friends to other campers should be encouraged as much as possible because others came from different states or even countries. They can learn about the other campers more including their lives and experience with soccer that are helpful in making connection to others. Encourage having a continued connection with them even when the camp ends.

Sleep early the night before and have and excited and great attitude in the morning. Make plans for the night after the camp ends. Give them the opportunity in sharing every accomplishment and memory they have gained.
